More Sad News

More sad news coming for the Hamline Basketball community today. Howie Schultz passed away earlier this morning. Howie was on the first National Championship team in 1942. After his playing days he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the MLB as well as the Minneapolis Lakers in the NBA. He won an NBA Championship in 1952 with fellow Pipers Joe Hutton and Vern Mikkelsen. Howie also preceded Jackie Robinson as the first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Had another spirited practice today. Can't wait until tomorrow when we scrimmage MCTC. Looking forward to playing someone else.
